Throughout social media today, women in business are constantly being bombarded with the message that they should be an independent one woman machine who balances work and home life with ease and becomes the perfectly in-control boss of her business. And whilst here at Socially Shared we truly believe in the power of women running their own business, you certainly don’t have to do it alone!
Where to start?
Our advice to you as a solopreneur is to get out and meet people. There is a whole world of people just like you that are working independently and are looking for others for companionship and support. There are lots of ways to do this and networking and events are a great place to start.
What do we have to offer?
Monthly Sessions:
Business support networks are a fabulous way to gain insight and knowledge from others and connect with those who may be able to help and support you and your business. At Socially Shared, we take pride in our learning focused network, sharing the expertise we have within our networking community. With a new focus each month, across a range of venues and areas, you will learn a variety of helpful tools and techniques such as managing your diary, facing your fear of public speaking, learning how to become more confident on various social media platforms and so much more. Annual Women In Business Conference:
Each year we bring women in business, employment and education together from right across the region to celebrate, inspire, learn, support and connect with each other. This year we have another fabulous lineup of speakers and the theme is ‘Mind Your Business’, exploring how our mindset can be a help or a hindrance to us and the work we do. Online Social Media Community:
We also have an active online business community on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. On Facebook we have our business page and two groups; one exclusively for members and a second for everyone to join in. LinkedIn we have a business page and a group for people to chat. Instagram is more a keeping in touch account, sharing information about how you can get involved.
However you wish to get involved with our business support network and community, a warm welcome is guaranteed and you will most definitely not feel on your own!
