Socially Shared Meet the Author Event

Now in its third year, the Socially Shared Meet the Author Event is one of the many highlights on the network’s calendar.
Over the years, we have found more ladies attending our events who have written one or more books. Often, they have done this behind the scenes and haven’t taken the time to promote their work.
We wanted to actively support the fabulous female authors across the region and set about launching the online bookshop – a space for authors to showcase their books and signpost interested parties to their website or sales platform.
In addition to holding online space, we also wanted to create an in-person event where authors and readers could network and connect.
Attending authors 2023
For the 2023 event, we have an incredible lineup of female authors sharing their fictional novels, non-fiction titles, business books, children’s stories, journals, and colouring books.
Our Headline Author this year is Kim Nash.
Kim is an author of uplifting, funny, heartwarming, romantic, feel-good fiction and has wanted to write books since she was a little girl. Hopeful Hearts at the Cornish Cove is the first book in a series set in the fictional seaside village of Driftwood Bay in Cornwall, published by Boldwood Books.
She lives in Staffordshire with her son Ollie and English Setter rescue dog Roni, is Digital Publicity Director for publisher Bookouture (a division of Hachette UK) and is a book blogger.
When she’s not working or writing, Kim can be found walking her dog at Cannock Chase, reading, binge-watching box sets on the TV, and dreaming of living by the sea!
