Are you ready for a celebration of stories, community, and connection? The Socially Shared team would like to invite you to step into a world of words, wonder, and inspiration at our annual Meet the Author Booksale Event.
Now in its sixth year, this is a super showcase of local female authors from the Socially Shared business network and beyond!
Proudly sponsored by Sandra Garlick MBE and Shelley Wilson Writing Mentor, this event is open to the public with free entry, plenty of on-site parking, and a short stroll from Kenilworth’s bustling high street.
Join us on Saturday 18th October 2025, 11am – 3pm.
Why you’ll love it
You’ll have the opportunity to meet inspiring women writers and hear the stories behind their stories. We have an abundance of talent this year, including an exciting mix of fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, and children’s books.
Get your books signed and snap a selfie with your favourite authors!

This is your chance to support local talent, discover more titles, and add another author (or twenty!) to your must-read list. Our Socially Shared Online Bookshop is the perfect place to discover more about the authors in our community, but meeting them in person is truly unbeatable.
Not only will you be supporting local authors, but you’ll also be doing some good by indulging in our pop-up tearoom, where all proceeds will be donated to Young Enterprise this year. Grab a cuppa, grab a book, and make a day of it in a warm, welcoming space where readers, writers, and families can connect.

What to expect
Author marketplace – When you visit St. Francis of Assisi Church Hall, you’ll discover a creative space filled with local female authors, ready to chat about the craft of writing, characters, business strategies, and their creative journeys.
Buy signed copies – I’ll whisper this next bit – ‘Christmas is coming!’ – so why not get started on your gift shopping by grabbing personally signed books?
Pop-up tearoom for charity – Our homemade bakes, hot drinks, and good vibes are all in support of Young Enterprise.
Speakers – This year, we have two incredible speakers sharing their creative journeys. Suzanne Lissaman, winner of two Romantic Novelists’ Association awards, will be talking about ‘A Reader’s Guide to Romance Tropes’, and Marie Rowe will be sharing insights from her memoir, From Coventry to Hollywood (and name dropping A LOT of celebrities along the way!).

Community spirit – With free entry, friendly faces, and a relaxed atmosphere designed for conversation and connection, this is one event that the whole family can enjoy.
Prizes to be won – Our annual author scavenger hunt returns with a chance to win a hamper of goodies when you visit all of our stallholders.
