The Socially Shared Women’s Business Network is nine years old this month and continues to grow from strength to strength.

Socially Shared Area Hosts

Our network’s founder, Karen Heap, has built twelve areas with dedicated hosts who deliver the same professional and friendly standards you expect from a Socially Shared networking event.

As each group grows in size and popularity, new areas have been added, and super new hosts have joined the team.

We are delighted to introduce two new areas and four new area hosts starting in April.

Meet Lisa Cressy, Superbeing Coaching

Lisa Cressy from Super-Being has taken the lead in our Solihull area, with her first session on Thursday April 4th, at The Forest Hotel, Dorridge.

Lisa Cressy | Socially Shared Area Host

Lisa is a mindset and intuitive coach, as well as a hypnotherapy and master NLP practitioner.

When I experienced burnout, fatigue and really low points in my life, I researched so many different ways to help me feel better naturally. That’s when I discovered NLP, positive psychology techniques, hypnosis, meditation, breath work – and these tools literally changed my life. It’s now my life’s mission to help as many people as possible feel better using the power of their own mind!” Lisa Cressy.

Her first networking event will be on the topic of change. Change is often something that people shy away from, but it can be really positive. We can often gain lots of new learning and experiences by pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones.

Meet Beth Taylor, The Oracle Club – NEW area

Socially Shared arrives in Telford with Beth Taylor from The Oracle Club taking the lead in this new area on Wednesday 10th April, at The Malthouse.

Beth Taylor | Socially Shared Area Host

Beth Taylor is a psychic and intuitive coach from The Oracle Club. She helps her clients distil the voice of their inner wisdom from all the competing facets of their minds and work more reliably with intuition to advance in all areas of life.

Her first networking event will be on the topic of promoting yourself with confidence with guest speaker Loretta Milan.

When it comes to self-promotion, how do you feel?  During this session, you’ll learn the common traps people fall into that increase nerves and switch audiences off and explore great ways to connect and build a rapport with others so they’ll genuinely want to listen
to what you have to say.

Our Daventry area is proud to welcome Candice Goulding, the new area host who takes over in April. Her first session is on Friday April 12th, at The Coffee Works.

Candice Goulding | Socially Shared Area Host

Candice runs Candice Goulding Copy, where she believes every business has something that makes them sparkle. She offers memorable messages, captivating content, and headlines that hook!

This Daventry session is about meeting your new area host and getting to know Socially Shared. You will have an opportunity to share the topics you would be interested in learning about in future sessions, as our meetings are a mix of networking and learning.

Meet Amy Hobson, The Little Gin and Rum Company – NEW area

Our second new area for 2024 is Harborne, where experienced networker Amy Hobson from the Little Gin and Rum Company will take the lead on Friday April 19th, at the Boston Tea Party.

Amy Hobson | Socially Shared Area Host

When Amy and her partner Ian discovered the Little Gin and Rum Company, they loved the products so much that they bought the company!

We love gin and rum and love to share our passion with our customers.  Whether it’s offering a boozy shelter at a festival, taking part in an artisan market, loving the magic of being a part of a celebration or hosting a corporate tasting we always love our job!” Amy Hobson

Amy’s first Harborne event will include guest speaker Lisa Cressy, who will be talking about strategies for change and the importance of mindset in our day-to-day lives. Learn simple tips and techniques to develop a positive mindset and unlock your full potential.

Meet Suzy Finnegan, Tropic Ambassador

Tropic Ambassador Suzy Finnegan has taken over our Hinckley & Burbage area. Her next networking event is on Wednesday 10th April, at the Chequers Inn.

Suzy Finnegan | Socially Shared Area Host

Whilst looking for natural and vegan products to use in my beauty business and recommend to clients I discovered Tropic. By coincidence Tropic and its founder Susie Ma was speaking locally in the same month, so I went along to find out more. I was fascinated by what Susie had to say, how she created the products so fresh and healthy and was instantly inspired to become an ambassador. It was exactly what I was looking for.” Suzy Finnegan

Suzy will welcome guest speaker Claire Keough, a Photographer at In Her Wildest Dreams, to discuss creating scroll-stopping content.

Choosing your topic and writing the words is hard enough, but it can become a real challenge to find or take images and videos that attract attention and stop the scroll. Claire will share some simple tips and ideas to help you create great image content that aligns with your personal brand, connects with your ideal client, and gets them to stop scrolling and read your content.
