This new meeting is hosted by Amy Dyble, our Stourbridge Area Host, and it promises to be a relaxed, welcoming event where local women in business can connect, share experiences, and support one another.
Socially Shared founder Karen Heap will also be joining the event to share the story behind the network, including how it began 11 years ago and has grown into a supportive community for women in business across the wider region.
This network is for all women in business, from experienced business owners to those just starting out, and the launch event is the perfect opportunity to discover how local networking can help your business thrive.
Why Local Networking Matters
There’s a lot of value in building connections close to home. Local networking helps you to build genuine relationships by seeing the same people regularly. This allows you to have deeper conversations and develop trust. We’ve seen lifelong friendships forged at our networking meetings.
It also helps you to raise your visibility in your community. The more people who know who you are and what you do, the more likely they are to recommend you when opportunities arise.
All of our networking meetings help you feel supported on your business journey, but being part of a local network reminds you that there are other women navigating similar challenges and cheering you on right on your own doorstep.
Socially Shared meetings are designed to create that sense of connection, encouragement, and opportunity.
Meet the Host and Founder
At this launch event, you’ll have the chance to meet:
Amy Dyble – Stourbridge Area Host
Amy will lead the Stourbridge meetings and create a welcoming space for local women in business to connect each month.
Karen Heap – Founder of Socially Shared
Karen will share the inspiring story of how Socially Shared began and the vision behind the network. 11 years on, it continues to bring together ambitious, supportive women who believe business can grow through collaboration rather than competition.
Together, Amy and Karen will also share their top networking tips on the day to help you get the most from every meeting you attend.
Three Tips to Make the Most of the Launch Event
If you’re attending the Stourbridge launch, here are three simple ways to make it a valuable experience.
- Be curious, not salesy – Networking works best when conversations are genuine. Ask questions, learn about the people you meet, and focus on building relationships rather than pitching your business.
- Prepare a simple introduction – You don’t need a rehearsed pitch, but it helps to know how to explain what you do in a sentence or two. Think about the problem you solve and who you help.
- Follow up afterwards – If you have a great conversation with someone, connect with them on LinkedIn or send a quick message after the event. This small step is often where new opportunities begin.
Join Us for the Launch – 9th April 2026
We’re delighted that Nathan and the team at Soffio Lounge are hosting us for our Stourbridge meetings, which will take place on the second Thursday of each month.
For the launch event on Thursday 9th April, you can enjoy free entry, a warm welcome, and a complimentary cuppa (one per person). Places are limited, so be sure to secure your ticket: https://sociallyshared.co.uk/events/#!event/2026/4/9/stourbridge-area-socially-shared-new-area-launch
As this event falls during the Easter school holidays for some families, we understand childcare can be tricky. If needed, you are welcome to bring school-aged children who are happy to entertain themselves with a book or a gadget.
One of the things that makes Socially Shared different is our flexibility. Membership is completely optional, and you can attend meetings as often or as little as you like on a pay-as-you-go basis. We also don’t operate a one-seat policy, because we believe there is always something new to learn from one another.
We’d Love to See You There
If you’re looking to grow your network, meet supportive women in business, and become part of a welcoming local community, the Socially Shared Stourbridge launch event is the perfect place to start.
Come along, grab a cuppa, and discover how powerful local connections can be.
